Meet the Collective

We’re a group of wedding professionals turned friends, based in Hudson County, New Jersey and over countless happy hours of putting our heads together over glasses of wine, we came up with Love Wed. It started as a pop up and has grown into a full service planning team that promises to put you at the center of your wedding. We understand the importance of your wedding vendors all being on the same page in order to create your ideal wedding, so that’s why we’ve teamed up to help you plan the wedding of your dreams completely stress-free. Since launching we were able to expand the team to best accommodate all inquiries.

Dawn

Event planning

Dawn is a New England native who grew up a short drive from Boston in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Following high school she attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn as an illustration major. After receiving her B.F.A she immersed herself in the fashion world where her experiences truly brought out the qualities that drove her toward this industry, such as color concepting, sketching, color theory, both fashion and graphic design. She is a certified event planner. Currently she calls Jersey City home alongside her husband and rescue pets. Her work has been featured in Style Me Pretty ,The Knot Magazine and Green Wedding Shoes to name a few.

Christa

Floral design

Christa is a Jersey City based floral design studio specializing in weddings and events. Founded by Christa Akers, we create enchanting floral pieces that strive to honor the natural movement of each stem and bloom. With a focus on sustainable design, our arrangements often include foraged ingredients and botanica grown on local farms.
It is with care and consideration for these natural objects that we create designs as unique as the clients we have the pleasure of working with.

Devin

Devin is a wedding and engagement photography company based in Hoboken, NJ. Devin,
the creative eye behind the camera, brings a documentary style of photography to every wedding she shoots in order to fully tell the story of your big day. When she’s not taking photos, you can find Devin sipping wine at Grand Vin.

Rachel

Rachel knew at a young age that she wanted to focus her education in the arts. She earned her BFA, with a major in photography, from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. That’s where Rachel realized that she loves to take the images in her mind and make them a tangible reality. Collaborating with couples to document their weddings, she uses both artistic vision and candid documentation to freeze time and preserve history. Capturing moments in time that evoke memories and emotions is exciting for her. She applies her passion for photography to create images that people will cherish for a lifetime.

Senshi

Senshi is a wedding and portraits company based in NYC and Asian born. She has a documentary approach to her photographs, doing her best to be as non intrusive as possible yet capturing the moments of your day as they happen. There is nothing more that she enjoys as much as a love story."
